Our Story
The story of Evolutionary Psychotherapy & Holistic Healing began long before we opened our doors in Uptown Kingston. It began in the shared trenches of crisis intervention, community mental health clinics, and school districts, places where healing often felt fragmented, rushed, and siloed.
Molly and Tiffany first crossed paths in the high-stress environment of a suicide prevention hotline. Amid the chaos, they noticed something different when they worked together: a sense of calm, a spark of creativity, and a deep respect for the healing process not just for clients, but for the clinicians, too.
Tiffany remembers Molly walking into the call center, filling the air with peppermint for mental clarity, then lavender to soothe the nervous system after a call with a suicidal client. Molly remembers Tiffany unrolling her yoga mat between back-to-back interventions, inviting breath, movement, and presence back into the body after hours of negotiating with distraught callers. These moments were more than coping. They were ritual. They were the beginnings of a different way.
Through years of working in under-resourced systems, we both witnessed how easily clinicians burn out, how healing work can become mechanical without spaces to nourish the healers themselves. We knew there had to be another way. A way that honors the whole person, restores vitality, and reconnects us to the sacred act of healing.
Tiffany and Molly found themselves returning again and again to a deeper truth. In their experience, healing often begins with the return of what was once joyful. Dance. Song. Story. Community. These aren’t luxuries, they’re medicine.
This wisdom echoes throughout our work. We founded Evolutionary Psychotherapy & Holistic Healing out of a desire to shift old paradigms. We chose to leave behind the models that over-prioritized productivity and pathology and instead move toward something deeply human, soulful, and integrative.
We do not just offer therapy. We offer a community for clients and clinicians alike. A place where therapy meets ritual, where psychology meets somatics and spirituality, where creativity, belonging, and nervous system regulation are seen as essential medicines.
Whether through individual psychotherapy, group therapy, community healing events, or retreats, we invite people into a fuller experience of being alive and supported. Our mission is not just to support healing, but to celebrate flourishing for everyone who walks through our doors.
