Medical Hypnotherapy Session
If you want change, forget willpower. It’s all about skill-power… mental skill power! Hypnosis is a life skill that everyone needs even if they don’t know it, yet.
At the simplest level, hypnosis is internal pictures and inner dialogue. We create mental pictures and engage in self-talk all through our day but usually it is negative. I will teach you how to make more positive mental movies. Hypnotherapy is a helpful tool. It is a vehicle for moving you from where you are now (stuck) to where you want to be (free). Hypnosis helps you improve your health, create good habits, and perform at a much higher level. Willpower alone often fails to create behavioral change. The reason for the failure is that change begins in the subconscious mind.
Together we will reach into your subconscious mind and rewrite the story of your life. First, we will change your limiting beliefs and that will lead to new feelings. Your new feelings will produce different behaviors! Because your new behaviors are supported by new thoughts and feelings, the new, healthy behaviors will be consistent. Imagine that! How will you feel when your behaviors are finally consistent, and you are getting amazing results? I think you are ready to do something truly extraordinary. Let’s do it together with hypnotherapy!

In early 1973, his mother completed the Silva Mind Control program and used what she learned daily with her children to program them for success.
In 1982, Ajamu learned self-hypnosis using the late Dick Sutphen’s mail order hypnosis cassette tapes. Hypnosis saved his life. It helped him
become a gentleman and a scholar and avoid gangs, guns, and prison. His positive, focused state of mind helped him to earn full scholarships to boarding school and later to a competitive college where he majored in Asian Studies and excelled in theatre arts, dance, and martial arts.
Since 2000 he has traveled across the US and to Canada and England to train physicians, nurses and other health professionals in various aspects of hypnotherapy. Medical Hypnosis is a complementary, evidence-supported approach that works alongside conventional medical care to support whole-person healing. Recognized by the American Medical Association and other leading health organizations, hypnosis is used to reduce stress, ease fear and discomfort, and strengthen the body’s natural healing response.
Medical Hypnotherapy
This modality is effective because it employs the link that exists between the mind and the body. Medical hypnosis works on different conditions such as pain, allergies, excess weight, phobias, and unhealthy habits such as smoking. Certain issues may require a medical release from one’s primary care doctor.
How it works:
I will assist you to enter an altered state of consciousness to create improvements in your health and wellness. All forms of hypnotherapy involve the induction and deepening of the hypnotic state. Hypnosis is achieved through simple visualizations like imagining descending a staircase combined with progressive muscular relaxation.
Once you are in the altered state, you are open to beneficial suggestions. The reason hypnotherapy works is because the “hypnotic” state is a state of heightened receptivity to suggestion. Once you are hypnotized, I can give you helpful metaphors, stories, quotes, or direct suggestions that are designed to reprogram your subconscious mind and help you break old patterns and create new ones.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming or NLP is a way of understanding and duplicating human excellence. “Neuro” represents our nervous system. The term “Linguistic” refers to our internal and external language. The word “Programming” helps us recognize that the ways that we think, speak, and act are habitual and serve as a kind of operating program. NLP helps you recognize the limiting patterns in your personal and professional life and adopt new, more resourceful patterns quickly and easily. NLP can be employed to achieve a wide range of goals.
Mental Coaching
I developed Mental Coaching in 1995 from a synthesis of hypnosis, NLP, sports psychology, and cross-cultural spirituality. My study of Olympic level and professional athletes revealed that there are six psychological skills that allowed these athletes to reach extraordinary heights. These six core mental skills are conscious relaxation, visualization, positive self-talk, goal setting, motivation, and focus. Students, athletes, executives, artists, and parents will find these skills extremely valuable when seeking to achieve higher levels of performance. Mental coaching provides the weekly encouragement and accountability needed to reach your important life goals.
