Issa Marcantoni Rosa, Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern

Issa believes in the transformative power of the human spirit. They bring an animist and developmental perspective to the healing process. With a background in counseling through Evolutionary Astrology and guiding group experiences as a RYT-500 Kundalini Yoga & Meditation Teacher with a focus on Yoga Therapy, they have been supporting people's journey home for over five years.

Many thresholds have shaped Issa’s path as a queer, neurodivergent, trans non-binary, first-generation Puerto Rican, and as someone who has navigated chronic illness for most of their life. These lived experiences have rooted them in a deep devotion to decolonized, inclusive healing. They feel most called to support those navigating the in-between spaces - LGBTQIA+ folx, first-generation Americans, immigrants, and anyone walking through spiritual awakenings, identity shifts, or life’s many turning points.

Currently completing an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at SUNY Fredonia, Issa integrates relational, somatic, and narrative approaches, with a growing interest in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Experiencing (SE), and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). Their style is intuitive, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that healing is a sacred return to Self, to connection, and to the wisdom of the body.

Issa works with teens and adults. They welcome clients seeking a therapeutic experience that honors both the soul and the nervous system. They live in the Hudson Valley with their beloved rescue dog, Lin-Manuel.
